CNVP attended the Rural Development Standing Working Group’s annual Agricultural Policy Forum during 16-18 October 2018.

Attended by 170 people in Jahorina, Bosnia Herzegovina under the broad heading of Agricultural Policy: Determinant of the Regional Rural Development and EU Perspectives of South East Europe, the forum addressed the following themes:

1. EU Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) reform;
2. Trends of agri-food trade policies in the EU;
3. Electronic phytosanitary certificates (ePhyto) – a new option in trade of plants and plant products;
4. Diversification of economic activities and digitalization in rural areas;
5. Agricultural policy developments in the land market, and small farms’ access to land;
6. Application of Agri-Environment Policy;
7. Conservation and sustainable use of genetic resources in agriculture; and
8. Rural depopulation, migration and development.
