CNVP Kosovo cooperated in Kaçanik with the Association of Private Forest Owners (APFO) “Gryka e Kaçanikut” to provide training for APFO members and users/beneficiaries within the process of joint forest management. The training took place in Kaçanik on 30 May 2019.

CNVP Kosovo provided the APFO with equipment for silvicultural works that included a chainsaw and its maintenance tools, safety equipment, hand tools for cleaning and thinning, and a GPS device.

The aim of the training was to prepare APFO members to be able to handle safely the forestry tools provided. The training involved theoretical presentations, and practical experience at forest level.

The APFO members had the opportunity to use the tools, and discussed safety measures with CNVP Kosovo’s consultants.

This activity was supported by the Sida-funded project that is being implemented by CNVP Kosovo - Strengthening Sustainable Private and Decentralized Forestry.
