CNVP North Macedonia is implementing the MOVING project with a consortium of 23 partner organizations (research centers and institutes, industry representatives, rural developers, and innovation agents) to co-design the policy framework that allows the development of value chains guaranteeing the sustainability & resilience of mountain areas. Within the project framework, activities in North Macedonia are focused on the Maleshevija region.

The project Mountain Valorization through Interconnectedness and Green Growth- MOVING, aims to build capacities and co-develop policy frameworks across Europe for the establishment of new or upgraded and upscaled value chains, contributing to the resilience and sustainability of mountain areas, valorizing local assets, and delivering private and public goods.

The overall objective of MOVING is to build capacities and co-develop — in a bottom-up participatory process with value chain actors, stakeholders, and policy-makers— relevant policy frameworks across Europe for the establishment of new or upgraded/upscaled Value Chains that contribute to resilience and sustainability of mountain areas.

MOVING project is financed from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program and will be implemented through 2024
