CNVP Kosovo wishes to recruit a Local Consultant to support the implementation of the Sida-funded “Sustainable Use of Natural Resources for Environment and Economic Development” (SUNREED) project. The local expert must have significant experience in communication and visibility meeting the communication and campaigning needs of the SUNREED project, including regular communication about project results and activities, as well as capacity building of the sub-grantees on outreach techniques and methods.

The Communication and Visibility Expert will be responsible for assisting the SUNREED team in developing a communications strategy and a media plan for the overall project and producing focused standard narratives for the project objectives, results, and achievements. The Communication and Visibility Expert required for CNVP Kosovo

Requirements:

CNVP Kosovo wishes to recruit a Local Consultant to support the implementation of the Sida-funded “Sustainable Use of Natural Resources for Environment and Economic Development” (SUNREED) project. The local expert must have significant experience in communication and visibility meeting the communication and campaigning needs of the SUNREED project, including regular communication about project results and activities, as well as capacity building of the sub-grantees on outreach techniques and methods. The Communication and Visibility Expert will be responsible for assisting the SUNREED team in developing a communications strategy and a media plan for the overall project and producing focused standard narratives for the project objectives, results, and achievements. The Expert will be responsible for conducting public awareness campaigns in the project as well as publicizing all project products, results, and outputs. The background of the assignment is presented in Annex 1.

Main tasks and responsibilities

The Expert will be based in the Prishtina office and is expected to perform the following tasks:  

  1. Conceptualize, design, organize and execute communication material and events;
  2. Coordinate the communication outputs within the project, including development and administration of the project’s social media marketing for the SUNRED project;
  3. Organize, file, and select the graphic documentation of events and activities;
  4. Contribute to the preparation of publications;
  5. Prepare mass media information about the project (print, electronic, radio, tv) including press releases;
  6. Provide material for the project website;
  7. Prepare and supervise the production of publicity brochures, handouts, leaflets, infographics, promotional videos, photographs, films, and multimedia project;
  8. Coordinate the publication of project events, press conferences, and round tables, with the relevant media people and institutions;
  9. Provide regular monthly reports on the PR work carried out in the project;
  10. Regularly update and maintain project electronic and other communication platforms;
  11. Develop and maintain good relationships with the media and professional networks;
  12. Coordinate communication activities with other SUNREED projects in Kosovo and CNVP in general;
  13. Use established procedures to contribute with written and visual material for the CNVP’s website and regularly maintain the social media (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.);
  14. Contribute to funding applications and donor reports in cooperation with other members of the team;
  15. Provide capacity building for the sub-grantees of the SUNRED project on outreach techniques and methods;
  16. Support, when needed, the project team in the implementation of SUNRED activities and perform any other related functions assigned by the Executive Director;
  17. In charge of the visibility efficiency for the SUNRED project in particular and the CNVP organization in general.

Required qualifications

The successful applicant must meet the following requirements;

  1. University degree(s) in communication, journalism, public relations, graphic design, media, marketing, or related fields;
  2. 5 years of experience in communications;
  3. Specific experience with translating conceptual ideas into concrete communication products and developing communication products for various audiences (Kosovo citizens, local and national government officials, and international donors) and in various formats (written, video, audio, websites, and social media);
  4. Experience in knowledge management and organizational learning is an advantage;
  5. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, professional use of social media and various media editing applications;
  6. Strong communication, analytical and presentation skills and ability to network;
  7. Excellent knowledge of spoken, written, and editing skills in English, Albanian and Serbian language (both orally and written);
  8. Good administration, organization, and interpersonal skills;
  9. Proven ability to work proactively;
  10. Previous work experience at the central government, municipal and community levels will be an advantage;
  11. Driving license and experience.

Contract duration:  

The local expert will be contracted for up to 80 working days over a period of 8 months from the date of signing the contract.

The starting date of the appointment will be 15 April 2022 (or earlier if possible). The contract period will be until 31 December 2022, with a possible extension in the following year depending on performance. The deadline for applications is Thursday, 31 March 2022, at 17.00h.
