World NGO Day is held on 27 February 2018. The global theme for World NGO Day in 2018 is Celebrate, Commemorate and Collaborate.

First celebrated in 2010, the day: raises awareness; recognises the importance of NGOs worldwide and their value to society; acknowledges the individuals who dedicate their time to making NGOs work; and inspires collaboration between different NGOs to become more actively involved within the civil society community.

The initiative is a major part of the international calendar and a symbol of cooperation between the world’s NGOs to build a stronger future for all. The event brings together NGO staff and their supporters, international leaders, governments, multi- and bilateral organizations, the private sector, local communities, teachers, students and NGO experts.

CNVP is a leading international NGO and civil society organization that is active in all six Balkan countries. It uses evidence-based analysis to improve the sustainable livelihoods of rural communities affected by the ongoing process of environmental and climate change within a policy framework of European accession.

CNVP’s focuses on agri-rural, NRM, forestry, renewable energy and governance activities to reduce environmental risks and ecological scarcities, as well as achieve sustainable development without degrading the environment i.e. the Green Economy.

CNVP is looking to identify other CSOs active in the Balkans, the European Neighbourhood Space, the Caucasus and Turkey with which it can cooperate to build a greener economic environment for the future.
