On 24 April 2018, CNVP Albania organized the launch of Ulza Eco Park, a new touristic destination in Albania. The event took place in the framework of the CNVP-implemented FLED Project that is funded by the Swedish Embassy. It was held in close cooperation with the Ministry of Environment, the Agency for Rural Development, the National Agency of Protected Areas and the Municipality of Mat. The event brought together more than 300 people, including diplomatic missions in Albania, the UN, the University of Sports, different touristic agencies, eco tour Albania and bike club Tirana.

During the event, an agreement was signed between the state agencies and the Municipality to work together to develop Eco Park Ulza. They invited all donors, organizations and other institutions to join, and give life to, the initiative.

The Minister of Environment and the local Member of Parliament mentioned the role CNVP had played working with local communities on forest management and protection, and with producer groups to promote local products and natural values.

A fair was organized in the framework of the event that presented traditional cooking and local products. Supported by CNVP and the high school in Ulza, a youth programme provided drawings that focused on environmental protection.

CNVP is committed to working with local communities to support tourism development in the ECO Park of Ulza.
