Yesterday, the center of Peja was transformed into a celebration of women’s entrepreneurship as ๐๐ ๐ฐ๐จ๐ฆ๐๐ง ๐๐ง๐ญ๐ซ๐๐ฉ๐ซ๐๐ง๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฌ ๐๐ง๐ ๐ฉ๐ซ๐จ๐๐ฎ๐๐๐ซ๐ฌ showcased their businesses at the ๐ ๐๐ข๐ซ ๐จ๐ ๐๐จ๐ง-๐๐จ๐จ๐ ๐ ๐จ๐ซ๐๐ฌ๐ญ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐๐ฎ๐๐ญ๐ฌ (๐๐๐ ๐๐ฌ) ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐๐๐ข๐๐ข๐ง๐๐ฅ & ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฆ๐๐ญ๐ข๐ ๐๐ฅ๐๐ง๐ญ๐ฌ (๐๐๐๐ฌ).
Organized by ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐จ๐ฌ๐จ๐ฏ๐จ through the ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ฉ๐ซ๐จ๐ฃ๐๐๐ญ, in collaboration with the ๐๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐๐ข๐ฉ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐จ๐ ๐๐๐ฃ๐ โ ๐๐๐๐ข๐๐ ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐๐๐ง๐๐๐ซ ๐๐ช๐ฎ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ, the fair brought together women who are turning their passion, skills, and dedication into successful businesses while promoting the rich natural products of Kosovo.
From handcrafted products and traditional foods to medicinal and aromatic plant products, artisanal creations , dairy products, and traditional clothing, every stand reflected hours of dedication and hard work. Throughout the day, the women welcomed visitors, built new connections, promoted their businesses, and generated sales.
The Fair was visited by the ๐๐๐ฒ๐จ๐ซ ๐จ๐ ๐๐๐ฃ๐, ๐๐ซ. ๐๐๐ณ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ก๐๐ฑ๐ก๐๐ซ๐ข, who expressed his support for the women entrepreneurs and their important contribution to the local economy, while meeting with exhibitors, learning about their products, and encouraging their continued success.
For ๐๐-๐ฒ๐๐๐ซ-๐จ๐ฅ๐ ๐๐ก๐๐ฌ๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐๐ญ๐ข, entrepreneurship began at just 14 years old. What started with decorating beeswax candles has grown into a business producing honey , creams, soaps, and candles inspired by beekeeping.
“I wanted to create something different and more creative. Today the organization has been excellent, business is going very well, and I’m very happy to be here,” she shared.
For ๐๐ซ๐๐ข๐ญ๐ ๐๐๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐๐ญ๐ข ๐จ๐ ๐๐ค๐จ๐๐ฃ๐๐ฅ๐ญ๐, who also contributed to organizing the event, the fair delivered immediate results.
“Sales have been excellent. From the moment I arrived, customers started buying. This year’s honey production has been average, but with CNVP’s support, we planted 5 hectares of rapeseed flowers that helped feed the bees and contributed to better quality honey.”
Meanwhile, ๐๐๐ฅ๐ฆ๐ข๐ซ๐ฬ ๐๐ก๐๐ฅ๐, who produces homemade cheese, was equally pleased.
“I’m very satisfied with today’s sales. Customers are looking specifically for homemade cheese, they’re giving great feedback, and they’re buying it.”
Innovation was also on display through businesses like ๐ ๐ฎ๐ง๐ ๐ข๐๐ฎ๐ง๐ ๐ข from Gjakova. Director ๐๐ซ๐๐ง๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ก๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ช๐ข explained how the company transformed surplus fresh mushrooms into healthy mushroom crisps.
“We developed this product so that fresh mushrooms wouldn’t go to waste. It still requires investment in packaging and promotion, but fairs like this are incredibly important. This is our first fair in Peja, and visitors are curious, trying our products, and buying them because they recognize them as a healthier snack option.”
Stories like these remind us that behind every product is a woman with a vision, determination, and the courage to build something of her own.
CNVP Kosovo is proud to support women entrepreneurs who are building sustainable businesses and creating opportunities in rural communities. Their work continues to inspire the next generation of women to pursue their own entrepreneurial journeys.
