The first harvest took place in the village of Krani, while mountain tea is also cultivated at two additional locationsβ€”in the villages of Nakolec and Dolno Dupeni. With every flower they harvest, these women are not only preserving a long-standing tradition but also contributing to the protection of Prespa’s rich natural heritage.

Sustainable harvesting practices are applied throughout the process to ensure the conservation and long-term protection of this valuable medicinal plant.

This activity is part of the #EUforPrespa Programme, funded by the EU Delegation to North Macedonia and implemented by UNDP North Macedonia in partnership with CNVP North Macedonia.
