The International Land Coalition (ILC) is a network organization of more than 300 member organizations that stand united for people-centered land governance. CNVP Kosovo is contracted as the host organization of the National Land Coalition (NLC) of Kosovo with regard to important work areas such as women’s empowerment and forest owners’ rights, as well as climate change and adaptation (with specific focus on youth).

Project purposeThe International Land Coalition (ILC) is a network organization of more than 300 member organizations that stand united for people-centered land governance. CNVP Kosovo is contracted as the host organization of the National Land Coalition (NLC) of Kosovo with regard to important work areas such as women’s empowerment and forest owners’ rights, as well as climate change and adaptation (with specific focus on youth).  
It provides services related to: a) Advocacy efforts on inclusion of forestry as a pillar under the national Rural Development Program to 2027 and beyond; b) Capacity building towards the youth constituency, including awareness, education and practical initiatives that strengthen rural resilience, promote sustainable land use as well as inclusive and community-driven climate and land governance in Kosovo; and c) Supporting women’s economic empowerment through the NLC Kosovo network, with a focus on addressing climate and environmental challenges.
Main outputs:The main project outputs:

– Inclusion of forestry as a pillar under the national Rural Development Program to 2027 and beyond.

– Practical initiatives that strengthening rural resilience, promote sustainable land use as well as inclusive and community-driven climate and land governance in Kosovo.

– Economic empowerment-targeting in particular women’s network that the NLC of Kosovo is engaged with addressing climate change and environmental challenges.
Main outcomes:The main project outcomes:  

– Follow-up on the implementation of the forest strategy 2022-2030 and advocate for small forest owners work on climate change adaptation and biodiversity protection by establishing working groups to connect with the EMENA and Balkan NLC.

– Inclusive decision-making processes and women empowerment.

– Platform’s management task in conjunction with the beginning of the 2025-2027 ILC EMENA triennium.
