Training for the management of cross-sector partnerships
Training on Management of Cross-Sector Partnerships (MCSPs) was held in Niksic (22-23 December 2018) and Bijelo Polje (28-29 December 2018) in the framework of the EU project Rural development driven by rural CSOs. The training was attended by 40 representatives of NGOs, agricultural producers and cluster associations.
The main focus of the training/coaching was to increase knowledge of the participants in techniques concerning how to: manage a dialogue with other stakeholders/decision makers; establish partnerships; network; and perform lobbying and advocacy activities. Different models of best practice CSPs were presented which resulted in the establishment of good partnerships and cross-sector cooperation.
Particular emphasis in the training was placed of the importance of young people, as well as the need to improve rural development and retain the population in rural areas. Modern models of networking were discussed, including the use of social networks, to improve cooperation and increase joint influence among the sectors.
The project is supported by the European Union with the participation of the Ministry of Public Concern. It is being implemented by CNVP Montenegro, the Regional Development Agency for Bjelasica, Komovi I Prokletije, and the Union of Livestock Producers of Montenegro.
