In December 2013, the United Nations General Assembly proclaimed 3 March as World Wildlife Day to celebrate and raise awareness about the world’s wild fauna and flora.

World Wildlife Day 2019 aligns closely with Sustainable Development Goal #14 - Life below water, which focuses on marine species. This is an opportunity to highlight critical issues related to marine wildlife, and its value to everyday life. The occasion will be used to celebrate successful initiatives to conserve and manage marine species on a sustainable basis, and scale up support for future initiatives.

CNVP is a leading international NGO and civil society organization that is active in all six Balkan countries.
