A workshop was held on 5 March 2019 with representatives of Kosovo’s National Association of Private Forest Owners (NAPFO) and 23 APFOs (including women’s producer groups).

APFO representatives outlined their work in 2018 related to service delivery covering: Joint Forest Management (JFM); the development of value chains for forest and non-timber forest products (NTFPs); advocacy at central level; networking/cooperation with media and other civil society organizations; best practice applications in service delivery; increased membership; and sharing information about the forestry sector.

The workshop also focused on the work plans for NAPFO and the APFOs in 2019 covering service delivery, increased capacities of vulnerable women and youth in sustainable forest management, further development of forest product value chains, and increased membership of all APFOs

The activity was supported by the Sida-funded project Strengthening Sustainable Private and Decentralized Forestry that is being implemented by CNVP Kosovo.
