World Water Day, 22 March 2019
The theme of World Water Day 2019 is Leaving no one behind. It adapts the central promise of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development that a key measure of progress is that everyone must benefit.
Sustainable Development Goal #6 is crystal clear: water for all by 2030. But today, billions of people are still living without safe water in households, schools, work places, farms and factories.
This year’s World Water Day concerns how to tackle the current water crisis, and addresses the underlying reasons why so many people are being left behind.
CNVP focuses on agri-rural development, natural resource management, forestry, renewable energy and governance activities to reduce environmental risks and ecological scarcities, including the efficient use and conservation of water, and the elimination of trans-boundary water pollution.
