On 8 July 2019, CNVP Kosovo held a consultative meeting in Peja under the framework of Sida-funded project "Strengthening Sustainable Private and Decentralized Forests".
Various actors representing public and private institutions from western Kosovo and local experts took part in the meeting.
The purpose  of the meeting was to discuss the study analyze of the report compiled last year by the expert engaged by CNVP as well as to analyse the steps on chestnuts value chain development. The recommendations outlined in this report were also elaborated. 

Discussed priorities were: 

• promotion of value of chestnuts fruits, 
• improving managment of chesnuts forestry, 
• inventarization, 
• lobbying and advocacy for property issues, 
• certification of chestnut forests,
• revitalisation, 
• trainings, 
• market research, 
• expertise from Europe countries etc.  

At the end of the meeting the informal group of chestnuts was anounced. The group consist actors representing municipal officials, local expetrs and NGOs as well as private forest owners from the western part of Kosovo.
