CNVP attended the 5th Slovenian Parliament
The CNVP representative participated in the 5th Slovenian Parliament. The parliament was held on 8th and 9th October in Majšpek. In addition to representatives of all relevant institutions, NGOs and other associations dealing with rural development from Slovenia, several representatives from other European countries also attended the parliament.
The main topics discussed in the parliament were: Support for sustainable farm incomes; Strengthening marketing and increasing competitiveness; Value chains; Climate change and efficient resource management; Biodiversity; Young and new farmers; Social inclusion, local rural development (LEADER / CLLD) and local economies; Food quality, health and animal welfare; Knowledge transfer, innovations and digitization in agriculture
During the Parliament, the Slovenian representative for the European Village Renewal Award 2020 and the New Entrant Farm Business Award for 2018 (project NEWBIE) were announced. During the Parliament was also organized significant cultural and entertainment program.
Slovenian Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Food attended two days of parliament.
The CNVP also participated in the fourth General Assembly of PREPARATION AISBL, which took place after the end of the Rural Parliament.
