The Steering Committee meeting took place today (3 March 2021) gathering for a second time all project partners.

Updates and progress on deliverables and tasks were discussed and presented. Each Work Package leader indicated the activities carried out and those planned for the upcoming period. Notably, Work Package 3 has progressed greatly with the analysis of the land cover and land-use intensity in the 23 Reference Regions selected.

Since the experience of the pandemic has switched all physical activities to online interaction, the project is looking to increase internal capacity and skills related to facilitation and moderation of online workshops. It is an excellent way to share and learn from each other, building on our individual knowledge and experience in order to better deliver our project together. In this sense, training is foreseen on different levels for all interested partners.

Overall the meeting provided an excellent opportunity to discuss and clarify concepts that the project will be working on, as well as linking ongoing activities across Work Packages and deliverables, making it an ever more collaborative effort.

MOVING (Mountain Valorisation through Interconnectedness and Green growth) is a Horizon 2020 project, which will be implemented through 2020-2024. MOVING will screen the Value Chain (VC) existing in all the EU mountain areas and will assess in-depth 23 selected reference regions in 16 countries, including a region in North Macedonia
