CNVP attends an EU CAP Network Brokerage event - ‘Get involved in Horizon Europe advisory networks’
On 17 &18 January 2023, CNVP Foundation attended an event organised by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Agriculture and Rural Development (DG AGRI) and the Support Facility for Innovation & Knowledge exchange.
The EU CAP Network Brokerage event - ‘Get involved in Horizon Europe advisory networks’ - was dedicated to matchmaking and networking amongst advisors, farmers, researchers, and other relevant stakeholders to support the preparation of proposals for the upcoming Horizon Europe Calls on advisory networks. The event also created opportunities for exchanging knowledge and innovative ideas and practices to inspire potential applicants to take part in the next Horizon Europe call.
The main objectives of the event included:
1. Improving awareness among advisors and farmers on the possibilities to participate in Horizon Europe projects, and the opportunities offered under its calls;
2. Increasing awareness on the topics that will be open for proposals under the Horizon Europe Cluster 6 2023-24 work programme;
3. Supporting potential advisory applicants in finding potential partners;
4. Sharing further information on the call and its topics, thus contributing to improving the quality of the proposals.
Attendance at the event allowed CNVP to identify potential project partners (such as the France National Centre for Private Forest Ownership, Xylofutur - The innovation cluster for the forest-based sector in France, AGRENAOS from Greece, Irish Seed Savers Association, Innovatiesteunpunt from Belgium) in topics covering:
a) Integrated forest management;
b) Market system development (MSD) of medicinal and aromatic plants;
c) MSD of wood-based products and wood biomass for energy;
d) Strengthening networks of forest owners’ associations and farmers’ producer groups;
e) Strengthening private and business-driven advisory services in agriculture and forestry.
