Country Director Mr. Nehat Ramadani met the mayor of Debar municipality, Mr.Hekuran Duka

On the working meeting, Mr. Ramadani presented the work of the CNVP organization to the team of the municipality of Debar, with a special focus on the project goals and activities that will be part of the three-year regional project "Integrated Forest Management (IFM) along the Drin River basin", which in North Macedonia will mostly be implemented in Struga and Debar municipalities along the Drin River.

Both teams discussed the establishment of joint cooperation and the involvement of the Municipality of Debar in the implementation of the activities that will be part of the project, and it was emphasized that the municipalities are a key factor for the socio-economic development of the regions.

The mayor of Debar Mr. Hekuran Duka pointed out that the municipality welcomes the project and in the future, a  Memorandum of Cooperation (MoU) will be signed in which further cooperation will be defined between the CNVP North Macedonia and the Municipality of Debar.

“Integrated Forest Management (IFM)along the Drin River Basin” is a three-year regional project and it is being implemented by ICEP (Association for Global Development) and CNVP (Connecting Natural Values and People Foundation) funded by ADA (Austrian Development Agency). The project is being implemented in the transboundary catchment area of the Drin River which includes the countries of Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia, and Montenegro.
