Exploring Potential Nature-Based Solutions Projects: CNVP Holds Meeting with IUCN ECARO
CNVP as a IUCN member organization, recently hosted a productive meeting at its Prishtina Offices with representatives from IUCN ECARO. The primary focus of the discussion was on exploring possibilities and fostering information sharing regarding the implementation of Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) projects in Kosovo.
During the meeting, CNVP provided a comprehensive overview of its organizational framework, strategy, and ongoing projects. In turn, representatives from IUCN shared insights into the ADAPT project and detailed the process involved in developing a project concept note for the implementation of Nature-Based Solutions in Kosovo.
CNVP took the opportunity to briefly outline the objectives of the Sustainable use of Natural Resources for Environment and Economic Development (SUNREED) and Integrated Forest Management (IFM) projects. Additionally, the organization expressed a keen interest in collaborating and sharing information related to Nature-Based Solutions in areas such as forest management, water resources management, and river basins.
In conclusion, both parties affirmed their commitment to sharing relevant information, aiming to synergize efforts in the development of Nature-Based Solutions projects. The focus will be on aligning with green agenda implementation processes to contribute positively to environmental sustainability in Kosovo. This collaborative approach underscores the shared commitment to advancing NBS initiatives and signifies a step towards more effective and integrated environmental solutions.
