A coordination meeting was held between CNVP and the Rural Women of Prespa
On December 27, a coordination meeting was held in Resen (North Macedonia) between the Rural Women of Prespa and the CNVP team. The main topic of discussion was the implemented activities and the results achieved within the project "Empowering women for NTFP's development of Prespa", implemented by CNVP and financially supported by PONT.
At the meeting was discussed about the dynamics of the realization of the remaining activities that are part of the project, as well as future ideas that will lead to further development of the association and further promotion of their work so far, which is the cultivation of mountain tea, promotion of traditional food and production of handicrafts.
CNVP Country Director for North Macedonia, Nehat Ramadani, made a cross-section of the association's work and emphasized that the Rural Women of Prespa is not only a successful project that contributes to the protection of mountain tea and biodiversity but is also a true ambassador of the work and commitment of CNVP.
The president of the association Violeta Prculovska pointed out that the Rural Women of Prespa are great promoters of mountain tea and the idea that tea can be cultivated and produced with exactly the same quality as the tea harvested from the slopes of the mountain. She emphasized that the association is motivated to continue working and to be a driver of the Prespa region.
The project "Empowering women for NTFP's development of Prespa" is implemented by the organization CNVP, with financial support from PONT, through which Rural Women of Prespa are supported. The project aims to increase the internal capacities of the RWoP organization, for the use of bioproducts and non-wood forest products in the region of Prespa for catering activities.
