IUCN ECARO Regional Director meets with CNVP in Skopje, North Macedonia
Today, the CNVP North Macedonia hosted the IUCN ECARO Regional Director, Mr. Oliver Avramoski, and his team in its Skopje offices. CNVP has been a member of the IUCN since 2018, and the collaboration between both institutions was very highly appreciated.
During the meeting, CNVP introduced IUCN with its portfolio, activities, and outcomes, mainly in environmental protection and conservation. CNVP's Country Director and the team briefed the guests to five ongoing active projects in North Macedonia, as well as other projects under implementation in the Balkans (Albania, Kosovo, and Montenegro).
Oliver Avramoski, IUCN ECARO Regional Director, expressed high appreciation for CNVP's activities and impacts on the protection and preservation of the environment. Both parties agreed to intensify communication and collaboration in the coming period in different aspects of mutual interest.
IUCN, established in 1948, has evolved into the world's largest and most advanced environmental network. Its membership comprises experts, influential governmental and non-governmental organizations, and indigenous peoples from over 160 countries. The organization's diverse commissions are supported by a global network of more than 15,000 experts.
CNVP values its membership in the IUCN highly, since only through joint efforts can the mission for environmental issues be achieved.
