Workshop on Increasing Capacities of NAPFO and APFOs

CNVP Kosovo is happy to share some insights from today’s active workshop geared toward increasing capacities of Associations of Private Forest Owners (APFOs) and the National Association of Private Forest Owners (NAPFO).

Our focus is enhancing the abilities of Kosovo forest associations to effectively implement forest strategies and laws, to advocate for sectoral interests, and to secure public support. We also addressed improving services for private forest owners and members.

Key recommendations derived from an extensive study report conducted by a Swedish expert for CNVP Kosovo were shared with participants from the associations. The study focused on models for financing and restructuring of forest associations, highlighting important strategies for sustainable development.

Following this, concrete steps were identified during the workshop, which pave the way for stronger advocacy efforts, better policy implementation, and enhanced services for all forest owners.

The event was organized by CNVP Kosovo as part of the "Sustainable Use of Natural Resources for the Environment and Economic Development" project, funded by the Embassy of Sweden in Kosovo and the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida).
