Explore the Albanian Mountains: Your Perfect Escape from the Heatwave!
Everyone who is planning a visit to Valbona Valley soon will have access to a newly updated information board which has been installed at the entrance of Valbona Valley, offering extensive details about this stunning area.
Valbona Valley, part of the Albanian Alps National Park, is renowned for its tourist attractions. Nestled between towering, rugged peaks, the valley is adorned with a fantastic array of colors throughout the seasons, creating a landscape that is both labyrinthine and full of delightful surprises. The valley boasts rich biodiversity, featuring the crystal-clear waters of the Valbona River, the dramatic Shoshan Canyon, the majestic Kelcyre Gorge, the serene Xheme Lake, and the captivating Valbona Waterfall, among many other natural wonders.
To meet the demands of an ever-increasing number of tourists and nature enthusiasts, the area has seen significant improvements in infrastructure, updated information boards, and the creation of new, safer trails. CNVP Albania is proud to support these developments by collaborating with local associations such as Tropoja e Gjelber. Together, we aim to produce and install updated information boards, open new and safer trails, and raise awareness about nature conservation and local economic development through sustainable living in harmony with nature.
These investments are part of the project “Sustainable Use of Natural Resources for Transboundary Socio-Economic Development of Protected Areas in North Macedonia and Albania (Korab-Koritnik, Shar, and Albanian Alps),” funded by Prespa Ohrid Nature Trust - PONT and implemented by the CNVP Foundation.
