CNVP’s Commitment to Empowering Youth I Forestry
CNVP Kosovo hosted a workshop today to prepare steps for establishing a Youth Group within the Association of Private Forest Owners and the National Association of Private Forest Owners, focusing on biodiversity and climate change.
The workshop aimed to:
• Define strategic directions for the Youth Group
• Discuss tasks and activities within the Associations
• Identify capacity-building needs
What is the Association Youth Group?
Initiated by CNVP Kosovo, the Youth Group, aims to create a network of young professionals in the forestry, biodiversity, and climate change sectors.
Why is this initiative essential?
Forests play a critical role in biodiversity conservation, climate change mitigation, and local economic development. The forestry sector in Kosovo presents exciting opportunities for engagement across all sectors of society - especially youth.
The up and coming Youth Group is not just about building careers; it's about fostering a sustainable future where our forests, biodiversity, and communities prosper in harmony with nature.
The "Sustainable Use of Natural Resources for the Environment and Economic Development (SUNREED)" project implemented by CNVP Kosovo, is supported by the Swedish Agency for International Cooperation-SIDA.
