CNVP Kosovo and Partners Partake in Annual Chestnut Day in Hungary
Today, the annual Chestnut Day is in full swing in Pölöske, Hungary - gathering stakeholders from the chestnut industry from across Europe, to focus on sustainable development and value chain enhancement. The event brings together experts, active agricultural producers, food processors and market developers to explore opportunities and strategies for improving the chestnut market system.
The CNVP team, along with our partners who are dedicated cultivators of chestnut seedlings and collectors of chestnut fruits, are actively participating and sharing insights at this event.
We're excited to hear about opportunities and risks of chestnut cultivation from experts like Mr. Szani Zsolt who is engaged by CNVP Kosovo, and also learn about the latest innovations in chestnut cultivation.
Our team is also visiting the Sarkpont Zrt processing factory and local orchards to deepen our understanding of the industry.
CNVP Kosovo through its SUNREED project, is working closely with national and international partners to foster sustainable practices and improve market access for chestnut products, crucial for the economic growth of chestnut-producing regions, especially in West Kosovo.
When working together, we address challenges and pave the way for a resilient chestnut market!
The Sustainable Use of Natural Resources for Environment and Economic Development (SUNREED) project is funded by the Embassy of Sweden in Prishtina (Sida) and implemented by CNVP Kosovo.
