The celebration of the European Green Belt Days has become a cherished tradition for our organization in recent years.
Yesterday, our team had the pleasure of joining 6th grade students from the primary school in Blaç village, along with their teachers and nature experts, for a fantastic day at the KEERC field station in ITP and the “Etniku” beekeeping in Prizren.
The students deepened their understanding of Kosovo's biodiversity, especially the natural and cultural treasures of "Sharri" National Park. They learned about the vital role bees play in our ecosystems and even got to see how honey is produced!
This event not only broadened their knowledge but also strengthened their connection to the environment, emphasizing the importance of nature conservation and sustainability.
The initiative was supported by CNVP Kosovo through the project “European Green Belt: Lighthouse projects pave the way to a sustainable future in Sharr/Korab-Koritnik and beyond.”
