Last week, CNVP participated in the BESTbelt European Green Belt Conference in Jurmala, Latvia. With around 80 participants from Central Europe, the Balkans, and the Baltic Sea region, the event was a hub of innovation and collaboration.

The conference sessions focused on enhancing the power of the European Green Belt, exploring nature restoration laws, and discussing innovative approaches to generating nature-based income. One of the highlights was the field trip, where participants learned about best practices in nature conservation and local economic development firsthand.

As a proud member of the BESTbelt, CNVP also took part in the General Assembly Meeting of the European Green Belt Association, contributing to important discussions on the future direction of the association.

The conference also featured a European Green Belt fair, where local products from participating countries were showcased. This involvement is part of our ongoing commitment under the "Sustainable Future of Sharri-Korab-Koritnik Through the Green Belt" project, implemented with EuroNatur and financed by DBU.

Attendees enjoyed traditional food and crafts, celebrating the rich diversity along the Green Belt. We were pleased to share honey products from Kosovo’s Bletaria Etniku and promotional materials from our partner APFO (Shoqata Guri i Zi).

This event was a great opportunity for participants to exchange ideas and experiences from various projects across the Green Belt, and we left inspired and eager to continue our work in promoting sustainability and conservation.
