“Chestnuts are not only a cherished fruit but also play a vital role in the economic well-being of Junik’s residents.” This message resonated throughout the "Chestnut Day" celebration held in Junik last week.

Organized in collaboration with CNVP, the festival featured a variety of cultural activities, alongside freshly harvested chestnuts and other regional products showcased by local producers. It was an important opportunity for producers and stakeholders of the NWFP and MAP sectors to exchange ideas and build relationships for future collaboration.

Key figures, including Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development Faton Peci and Junik Mayor Ruzhdi Shehu, addressed attendees and talked about the importance of chestnut production for the community's well-being.

CNVP Kosovo's Sustainable Use of Natural Resources for Environment and Economic Development (SUNREED) funded by the Embassy of Sweden in Kosovo (Sida) project supported the municipality of Junik in organizing the event.
