CNVP Albania Hosts Info Session on Grant Opportunities for Ecological Corridors
CNVP Albania organised on 22nd of January an info-session to introduce its latest call for project proposals, part of a small grants program supporting ecological corridors in Albania. The event brought together representatives from local NGOs operating in the municipality of Klos, offering them detailed guidance on how to apply, including criteria, procedures, and required documentation.
The session highlighted the crucial role of preserving nature and promoting sustainable ecological practices in the protected areas of Cukal-Munella-Balgjaj-Martanesh. CNVP representatives outlined the key goals of the three-year project, which is funded by the Prespa Ohrid Nature Trust (PONT). The project aims to drive cross-border socio-economic development while ensuring the sustainable use and protection of natural resources in Albania and North Macedonia.
During the discussion, participants explored the grant’s focus areas, such as community awareness on environmental protection, strengthening local organisations, and fostering sustainable practices. Eligibility criteria were also clarified, emphasising that applicant NGOs must have legal status, an active bank account, and no unpaid fiscal obligations.
The CNVP team reminded attendees that applications are open until February 15, 2025, at midnight. Proposals must be submitted electronically to cnvpal@cnvp-eu.org.
This info-session offered a valuable platform to inspire and equip local NGOs with the knowledge they need to participate in this initiative, which aims to protect nature and improve the quality of life in these important ecological areas.
