CNVP Albania recently organized an inspiring exchange visit in Delvina, bringing together about 30 women entrepreneurs representing the medicinal and aromatic plants (MAPs) industry. The gathering included producers, nursery operators, and business owners from Malesia e Madhe, Berat, Skrapar, Maliq, Peshkopia, Tirana, and Gramshi, all enthusiastic to share experiences and learn from one another.

A standout moment of the visit was the session led by Vera Çeço, an extraordinary businesswoman who has been at the forefront of the MAPs sector in Delvina for over 30 years. Vera's impressive journey of collecting, processing, and exporting the finest MAPs from the region, offered the participants a unique blend of practical insights and seasoned wisdom. Her candid sharing of both successes and challenges served as a powerful reminder that resilience and innovation are key to thriving in a competitive industry.

The exchange visit also received a warm welcome from Brunilda Meleqi, the Deputy Mayor of Delvina. Meleqi expressed her unwavering support for initiatives that empower women and bolster local businesses, emphasizing the critical role of community-driven growth in rural economies.

This event is an integral part of the LED Project, funded by the Embassy of Sweden in Tirana, which has been successfully implementing meaningful interventions in Albania's MAPs sector for over five years. At CNVP Albania, we are immensely proud of our partners across the country for their unmatched commitment to sharing knowledge and building a sustainable future.

Through collaborative learning and mutual support, the women entrepreneurs in Delvina are not only growing their businesses but are also shaping the future of Albania’s MAPs industry.
