As part of the project “Capacity Building Program for Sustainable Tourism with a Focus on Non-Timber Forest Products,” CNVP North Macedonia, in collaboration with the Rural Women of Prespa (RWoP), organized a study visit on May 10–11 to the Polog and Southwestern regions of North Macedonia. The purpose of the visit was to engage with local organizations and individuals contributing to the development of the local economy through sustainable use of natural resources.

During the study visit, RWoP visited the following:

  • Hostel Kitka in the village of Vratnica, where participants exchanged knowledge and experiences related to the use of dryers for processing tea and other non-timber forest products (NTFPs).
  • The Association of Women Farmers “Moja Farma” in the village of Tumchevishte, to share experiences and explore opportunities for collaboration.
  • Gostilica Samet in the village of Trebište, where discussions focused on the cultivation and use of mountain tea.
  • The Vinozito nursery in the village of Draslajca, Struga, where a presentation was held, followed by an exchange of experiences in growing blueberries and aronia.

This activity is part of the #EUforPrespa Programme, financed by the European Union and implemented by UNDP in partnership with CNVP.
