A field day full of professional guidance and advice for students was organized within the framework of the regional project "Integrated Forest Management", in cooperation with the Faculty of Life and Environmental Sciences in Prizren. Together, we conducted a joint field visit to the afforested and thinned forest areas of intervention.

The field activities included a visit to an afforested area using innovative methods in Vranishtë, Dragash, and a thinning operation in beech forests in Zaplluxhë, Dragash.

The visit enabled students to see the work up close, discuss approaches to forest rehabilitation in the field, and share experiences. It also provided students the opportunity to evaluate the innovative methods used by getting a close-up view of the implemented and ongoing activities, the selected areas, the goals and objectives, the planted species, and the methods used for afforestation — including classical approaches, planting by machine, land preparation, and the use of shelter tubes. They also gained insights into beech forest treatments.

The project is implemented by CNVP Kosovo, funded by the Austrian Development Agency and ICEP - Association for Global Development, with support from Lenzing AG.
