CNVP Enhances Kosovo–Sweden Collaboration Through SUNREED Project Study Visit

As part of the ongoing SUNREED project, CNVP is developing a study visit to Sweden from 3 to 7 June 2025 to strengthen international cooperation and share expertise in sustainable natural resource management, including forest management and renewable energy from wood biomass.
During this visit, CNVP representatives held productive meetings with several Swedish institutions and organizations, including:
- The Energy and Technology Center at SLU Uppsala
- Swedish Environmental Research Institute (IVL)
- Forest Research Institute of Sweden (Skogforsk)
- Swedish Society for Nature Conservation (SSNC)
- Swedish Forest Agency in Jönköping
These meetings focused on critical themes such as innovation in sustainable forestry, biodiversity protection, voluntary carbon markets, renewable energy, and advancing the green and circular economy.
This exchange sets the foundation for strategic partnerships between Sweden and Kosovo, with the goal of supporting Kosovo’s shift toward sustainable forest management and renewable energy use. It also contributes to strengthening the capacities of Kosovo’s private forestry sector and promoting local economic development by replacing fossil fuel use with (biomass) bioenergy.
Through the SUNREED project, CNVP continues to strengthening networking, promote knowledge sharing and collaboration, driving positive change in natural resource management and climate resilience.
