NP Shar Mountain and CNVP North Macedonia strengthen cooperation for future conservation efforts
The National Park Shar Mountain and CNVP North Macedonia have continued the joint approach and cooperation by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marking a new phase in their joint efforts to support sustainable development and conservation within the protected area.
The agreement focuses on several key areas: sustainable use of natural resources, the promotion of nature-based tourism, non timber forest products, and long-term biodiversity protection.
Both institutions emphasized that strengthening collaboration is essential for addressing the environmental and socio-economic challenges faced by communities living in and around the Shar Mountain region.
During the signing ceremony, the director of the National Park Shar Mountain Mr. Evzal Elmazi expressed his appreciation to CNVP by presenting the organization with the official park logo. The gesture symbolizes the strong partnership between the two institutions and their shared commitment to safeguarding the natural and cultural heritage of the region.
CNVP, known for its grassroots work with local populations in remote areas, brings long-standing experience in empowering community-based initiatives. Its activities complement the wider conservation efforts across the Sharr massif, forming an important part of a broader biodiversity protection mosaic.
