Within the framework of the project Capacity-Building Program for Sustainable Tourism with a Focus on Non-Timber Forest Products”, the project team of CNVP North Macedonia held a working meeting with members of the association Rural Women of Prespa”.

During the meeting, discussions focused on the coordination and planning of upcoming activities, with particular emphasis on the cultivation and sustainable management of mountain tea, a significant medicinal and aromatic plant with strong potential for the local economy. In addition, opportunities were explored for organizing catering services featuring traditional homemade food, participating in local and national fairs, and conducting study visits aimed at exchanging experiences and good practices.

Through these activities, the project aims to strengthen the capacities of local communities, promote the economic inclusion of women from rural areas, and contribute to the preservation of traditional knowledge and values. At the same time, the project promotes sustainable tourism based on the responsible use of natural resources and the region’s authentic gastronomic and cultural heritage.

This activity is part of the #EUforPrespa program, funded by the Delegation of the European Union to North Macedonia and implemented by UNDP North Macedonia in partnership with the CNVP Foundation.
