Powering Jobs with Green Energy: Vera Herbs’ Sustainable Growth with CNVP Albania
Vera Çeço built Vera Herbs from the ground up, choosing to stay in Delvina and turn the country’s rich medicinal plant resources into a thriving local business. What started as small-scale processing has grown into a company that supports livelihoods and promotes sustainable use of natural resources.
Through CNVP Albania’s Local Economic Development (LED) Project funded by Sweden, Vera Herbs recently invested in solar energy, installing photovoltaic panels to power its operations. This green investment has reduced electricity costs by around 80%, creating immediate financial relief for the business while lowering its environmental footprint.
Thanks to these savings, Vera Herbs has already employed one additional staff member and plans to hire another, using funds that were previously spent on electricity bills. This is a practical example of how CNVP’s LED project supports rural enterprises: helping businesses cut operating costs, adopt renewable energy, and reinvest in people.
By combining entrepreneurship with clean energy, Vera Herbs shows how local businesses can grow sustainably, strengthening the economy while protecting the environment. CNVP Albania remains committed to supporting similar initiatives that turn smart investments into long-term impact.
