Empowering Rural Women of Prespa: Training on Non-Timber Forest Products
On 21–22 February 2026, the Rural Women of Prespa successfully participated in a training on non-timber forest products in Kruševo, North Macedonia. The program focused on:
- Certification of mountain tea
- Local products crafted by the Rural Women of Prespa
- Branding and marketing strategies for regional products
The training offered an excellent opportunity to strengthen the skills and capacities of local producers, enhance product quality, and open new market opportunities for authentic products from the Prespa region.
This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to the sustainable use of natural resources and the economic empowerment of rural communities.
The project “Rural Women for the Sustainable Development of Prespa” is funded by CNVP and the Prespa Ohrid Nature Trust – PONT.
This activity is part of the #EUforPrespa program, funded by the European Union and implemented by UNDP in partnership with CNVP and the Municipality of Resen.
