CNVP North Macedonia and Shar Mountain Nacional Park held a joint meeting
The team of CNVP North Macedonia held a joint meeting with representatives of Shar Mountain National Park. During the meeting, the CNVP project team, led by the Director of CNVP North Macedonia, Mr. Nehat Ramadani, introduced the park’s team to the new regional project PULSE – “Protecting Unique Landscapes and Species in Albania and North Macedonia”, financially supported by PONT. The project will be implemented over a three-year period, and one of its key implementation locations is Shar Mountain National Park.
The CNVP team delivered a brief presentation about the project, outlining its main objectives, key activities, expected results and impacts, as well as the beneficiaries and partners involved. Particular attention was given to the activities planned for the first year of implementation.
During the meeting, the new holistic concept 4 Returns Framework was also presented, which will serve as the main guiding approach for the implementation of the project. The aim of this framework is to reconnect people with nature and with each other through a long-term vision for sustainable landscape restoration that generates both ecological and socio-economic benefits.
The Director of Shar Mountain National Park, Mr. Evzal Elmazi, expressed his appreciation to the CNVP team for their continued support and cooperation, emphasizing the importance of strengthening joint efforts and taking further steps to protect and preserve this important region.
PULSE is a 36-month regional project implemented by CNVP Foundation in Albania and North Macedonia that aims to strengthen biodiversity conservation while improving sustainable livelihoods in key protected mountain landscapes of Albania and North Macedonia. The project builds on the achievements and lessons learned from CNVP’s previous PONT - funded initiative (2022–2025) and responds to increasing environmental, social, and economic pressures affecting protected areas in the region.
