CNVP Albania has launched a new reforestation project in the Municipality of Gramsh, aimed at restoring forest areas damaged by fires in recent years. The initiative, financed by Raiffeisen Invest, focuses on rehabilitating approximately 5 hectares of degraded land in the area known as Liqeni i Dushkut.

The project will support the planting of around 10 000 black pine seedlings, contributing to ecosystem recovery, erosion control, and improved landscape stability. It forms part of CNVP’s ongoing work to promote sustainable natural resource management and strengthen environmental resilience in rural areas.

Implementation is being carried out in close cooperation with the Municipality of Gramsh, ensuring alignment with local priorities and long-term land management plans. The project is also generating short-term employment opportunities by engaging workers from surrounding villages in planting activities.

Field operations are currently underway, including site preparation and the opening of planting holes. The work is being carried out using modern auger machinery, allowing efficient soil preparation while minimizing disturbance to the surrounding environment.

By supporting initiatives like this, Raiffeisen Invest reinforces its commitment to corporate social responsibility and sustainable development. Its contribution supports not only environmental restoration, but also long-term benefits for local communities and the country’s natural heritage.

Through this intervention, CNVP Albania and Raiffeisen Invest demonstrate a practical approach to restoring degraded landscapes, strengthening community engagement, and contributing to climate resilience.
