Today, CNVP Kosovo together with the Directorate for Administration of Bjeshkët e Nemuna National Park, brought together the management and technical staff of the National Park Administration for a dynamic two-day workshop focused on shaping the future of one of Kosovo’s most valuable natural treasures.

The first day focused on presenting the results from the workshop held in March, as well as discussing priorities for the future development of Bjeshkët e Nemuna National Park. Later there will be further engagement of management and key stakeholders in defining strategic directions and practical solutions.

The workshop is part of the project "Shaping the Future of the Bjeshket e Nemuna Region," supported by DBU (German Federal Environmental Foundation). The initiative focuses on strengthening the capacities of National Park administration staff and providing recommendations for the interpretation and implementation of the management plan.

Through group work and discussions, participants explored:

  • Management priorities for the National Park
  • Legal frameworks and institutional responsibilities
  • Balancing conservation with local development
  • Challenges such as illegal activities and implementation gaps
  • Developing SMART objectives and long-term sustainable solutions

Interactive role play was used to get the assessment of the importance of priorities within the table of strategic environment assessment.

This workshop is an important platform for knowledge sharing and strategic planning toward a stronger future for Bjeshkët e Nemuna National Park.

Thank you to all participants and partners for their expertise, ideas, and commitment throughout these two days!
