On 22 May, people around the world come together to bring biodiversity into focus — in communities, schools, online, and through activities that connect people to nature. As part of this global movement, the CNVP Foundation organizes and supports activities that promote local action for environmental protection, and one of these activities is taking place in Shtime.

CNVP Kosovo, in cooperation with the Private Forest Owners Associations “Gryka e Carralevës” and “Pyjet e Lipjanit,” marked the International Day for Biological Diversity through a community activity held at the Pine Park in Shtime.

Under the theme "Local Action for GLobal Impact," the event brought together 20 participants from local youth and women’s groups, municipal representatives, and civil society organizations to raise awareness about the importance of protecting nature and biodiversity.

Equipped with gloves, waste bags, and plenty of enthusiasm, participants joined forces in a community clean-up action at the Pine Park in Shtime, turning collective care for nature into visible impact. Youth groups, women’s groups, local community members, and partners worked side by side to clean and protect the park. The activity proves how small local actions can create meaningful environmental change and strengthen community responsibility toward nature.
