Powering Sustainable Partnerships: Kosovo-Sweden Bioenergy B2B Begins
Today marks the official kick-off of the INvestment and Kosovo-Sweden (Nordic) Partnership Opportunities in Bioenergy Sector, organized by CNVP Kosovo within the SUNREED project, supported by the Embassy of Sweden in Prishtina (Sida), in cooperation with Bioenergy International.
This initiative follows the first engagement held earlier this year in Stockholm and brings Swedish and Nordic companies to Kosovo to directly explore business, investment, and partnership opportunities in the bioenergy sector. The goal is to connect companies, investors, technology providers, municipalities, and institutions across the wood biomass value chain, while promoting sustainable investment, technology transfer, and long-term cooperation between Kosovo and Nordic partners.
Throughout the day, Swedish and Nordic companies are visiting Kosovo businesses operating in biomass, forestry, wood processing, and heating technologies to gain first-hand insight into Kosovo’s growing bioenergy market and its development potential.
The visiting companies include:
- Bruks Siwertell
- Firefly
- Siteconcept
- Hekotek / Mühlböck
- WTS / Bktech
Together with Kosovo hosts, the delegation is conducting field visits with local companies active in heating technologies, forestry operations, biomass development, wood processing, and furniture manufacturing sectors to explore concrete opportunities for cooperation and investment.
Later this afternoon, all participants will gather in Prishtina for the official B2B Networking Event, where companies, institutions, municipalities, and energy sector stakeholders from Kosovo and the Nordic region will come together to network, exchange ideas, and explore opportunities for collaboration and investment in the green energy transition.
We look forward to an inspiring and productive day ahead!
