Shaping the Future of the Bjeshkët e Nemuna Region – Study Visit to Harz National Park Continues

The study visit to Harz National Park continued with a focus on ecosystem monitoring, environmental education, visitor management, and practical approaches to balancing nature conservation with sustainable tourism.

CNVP Kosovo together with representatives from national and local public institutions, protected area authorities, civil society organizations, and local tourism stakeholders took part in the programme together with colleagues from Harz National Park, Naccon GmbH, and the Alfred Toepfer Academy for Nature Conservation.

At the Harz National Park Educational Center Hohnehof, participants explored the park's visitor infrastructure, trail planning, and approaches to visitor information, environmental education, and interpretive services. 
The programme also focused on sustainable tourism , with exchanges on engaging local communities and businesses, promoting responsible tourism, and creating opportunities that support both regional development and nature conservation.

The day concluded with a visit to the TorfHaus Visitor Center and a walk along interpretive trails, giving participants a closer look at visitor management and nature interpretation.

The study visit aims to strengthen cooperation and build knowledge for the long-term sustainable management of the Bjeshkët e Nemuna Region.
