Junior Forestry Advisor
CNVP focuses on all aspects of the Green Economy - sustainable forest management, natural resource management, environment, climate change, agri-rural development, renewable energy, waste management and community mobilization.
CNVP works with key stakeholders and partners in the public, private and civil society sectors at central, decentralized, cross–border and regional levels. It uses tried and tested analytical, consulting, advisory, coaching, mentoring, demonstration and knowledge transfers skills to help partners strengthen their technical capacities.
CNVP is active in all Balkan countries, implementing donor-funded projects in Macedonia, Kosovo, Albania and Montenegro. CNVP Kosovo is currently implementing a Sida-funded project, Strengthening Sustainable Private and Decentralized Forestry (SSPDF).
Working from CNVP’s office in Pristina, the Junior Forestry Adviser will be primarily responsible for:
- supporting the implementation of sustainable forest management and natural resource management initiatives;
- planning and implementing project activities related to forestry-related value chains; and
- supporting all other activities as directed by CNVP’s Country Director.
Applicants should hold a Master’s degree or equivalent in forestry or forestry economics, have at least 3 years’ professional experience in related fields, and be a team player with good communication skills. Additional competences should include:
- computer literacy in MS Office;
- fluency in written and oral English; and
- familiarity with issues related to forestry and agri-rural development in Kosovo.
