Sanije Dauti lives in Golaj village, Hasi Municipality. This is one of three target villages where CNVP Kukes is implementing the Sida-funded project Forests for Local Economic Development.

Since 2014, Sanije has participated fully in project activities, particularly related to gender and women’s economic empowerment. She is well-known in the village for her hard work, dedication to the family farm, and income generation from her forest and agriculture land.

In 2015, CNVP Kukes helped Sanije to plant new varieties of non-timber forest products, including 1,200 M2 of goyberry, aronia, raspberries and strawberries to be harvested in June-July. Sanije plans to increase the area planted with other varieties, as well as process and store her produce.
