On 11 and 12 September 2018, CNVP Bosnia-Herzegovina participated in a regional networking workshop in Sarajevo that was aimed at connecting nature conservation organizations in south east Europe. The workshop was attended by representatives of 12 organizations from Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Kosovo, Montenegro and Macedonia. The event was organised by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and the Hyla Association in Zagreb, and was supported by the Mava Foundation.

In order to increase such regional cooperation, a representative of GIZ (Gesellschaft fÜr Internationale Zusammenarbeit) presented the BioNet concept which has been established as part of the Open Regional Fund for South East Europe. BioNet is intended to build a network of biodiversity-related CSOs that will assist with advocacy, lobbying and fund-raising activities, as well as strengthen their organizational capacities.
