On 24 September 2018, CNVP Kosovo attended European Green Belt Days 2018 in Peja municipality, an event organized by NGO ERA in cooperation with Euronatura, Triton and Toka. The event focused on global efforts for cooperation, transboundary activities in biodiversity conservation, and sustainable tourism.

CNVP Kosovo joined partners from Germany, Albania, Montenegro and Kosovo to celebrate the achievements of Peja as a green and vital municipality. It was awarded Model Municipality at the European Green Belt for its outstanding work in nature conservation (flora and fauna), trans-boundary cooperation, and sustainable nature-friendly tourism.

Today, the Green Belt connects 24 European countries over 12,500 km, and is the main pillar of a Pan-European ecological network that contributes to Europe’s green infrastructure
