CNVP Albania Participates in Prespa Event
On 25 September 2018, CNVP Albania attended COMING TOGETHER FOR PRESPA, an event organized in Tirana by the National Agency of Protected Areas (NAPA), the Transboundary Biosphere Reserve Prespa project (PRESPA-Albania), and Prespa Ohrid Nature Trust (PONT).
PRESPA-Albania, Phase II, will support only the Albanian part of Prespa. The three year project aims to reduce the pressure on natural resources and contribute to poverty reduction in the Albanian part of the Prespa Biosphere Reserve. This will help to conserve biodiversity and improve living conditions. The project will also support investment related to forests, water management and economic development.
The grant application process of PONT will support mainly project operational costs, with a budget not exceeding 20,000 Euro with co-financing of 25%-50%.
PRESPA-Albania and PONT are being implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism and Environment and NAPA, co-financed by the Federal Republic of Germany through KfW Development Bank.
