CNVP Kosovo hosted the Advisory Board from the German Federal Environmental Foundation (DBU)

During a two-day visit in the Sharri region in Kosovo, the Advisory Board of the “Sustainable Future of Sharri/Korab/Koritnik” project was informed by CNVP team on the progress made in the implementation of the project activities.

The discussions were focused on the results achieved from four model projects in livestock, bee keeping, forest and tourism implemented in the Sharri region, while the presentation was held by the project coordinator from CNVP Kosovo on cultivation project.

Cross border activities were presented by promoting the regional rural development, including improving honey production, livestock breeding, tourism and cultivation of local non-wood forest products and MAPs.

The National Association of Private Forest Owners (NAPFO) and members of Associations of Private Forests Owners from Peja, Dragash and Strpce exchanged with the Advisory Board of the project information regarding the role of these associations and their efforts to contribute in sustainable use of natural resources mainly in the National Parks in Prizren and Peja region.

The Advisory Board of the “Sustainable Future of Sharri/Korab/Koritnik” project and the CNVP team conducted field visits and met with project beneficiaries. The project supports the sustainable development and nature conservation in the transboundary Shar/Korab-Koritnik region, and is implemented by Euronatur in partnership with CNVP Kosovo, Protection and Preservation of Natural Environment in Albania (PPNEA) and Macedonian Ecological Society (MES).
