On September 22, 2023, the picturesque town of Kukës, Albania, played host to a remarkable public fair celebrating the European Green Belt Days.

Sandra Wigger, as project manager in the framework of the “Sustainable Future for Shar-Korab-Koritnik” project, representing EuroNatur, expressed immense joy and gratitude for the collaborative efforts that led to the implementation of 13 outstanding project models. These initiatives were realized through the tireless work of 15 local partners, as well as the invaluable contributions of Local Actions Groups in Albania, Kosovo, and North Macedonia. The funding, provided by the DBU and AAge V.Jensen Charity Foundation, played a pivotal role in making these projects a reality.

Sandra went on to acknowledge the driving force behind the success of these projects.

"Today we want to do the acknowledgment to model project actors, because without them this project would not have been such a success. They did all the work, they had very great project ideas, and they concluded with successful implementation. They helped to make this region much more visible as a transboundary region, they involved so many different people, and they generated knowledge and distributed knowledge. They were so motivated and so passionate, and I really want to thank you for that," Sandra expressed with heartfelt gratitude.

Hajrush Kurtaj, as a project manager in the framework of this project, representing CNVP Kosovo, emphasized the significance of the achieved results. "As CNVP, together with our partners, PPNE, MES, and EuroNatur, we are very happy with the results achieved through the implementation of these projects. We are very sure that we have contributed to local and regional development, and we hope to have other projects that will contribute in this aspect in the future as well," he remarked.

The event not only celebrated the accomplishments of these dedicated individuals and organizations but also showcased the impact of their collective efforts on the local and regional communities.
